Helen Rieger, CMT

Originally from outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Helen Reiger moved to Colorado when her fiancé was offered a job in the Boulder area. She welcomed the chance to live
somewhere completely different than what she was accustomed to. Upon being laid off from a corporate job, Helen decided to pursue a career in massage therapy, which was a long time dream. She graduated
from the Boulder college of Massage Therapy, where she enjoyed working with all types of people and animals including cancer patients, people with disabilities, horses, dogs and rabbits. In addition to
being a Certified Massage Therapist, Helen also has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Cabrini College.

Using massage as her vehicle, Helen seeks to connect with people in a spiritual and nurturing way through touch. She believes that touch is essential to nourish the mind, body
and spirit and is a necessity frequently overlooked in today’s busy world.
People who know Helen know that she is passionate about life, people, animals, gardening and music. Her strongest tools
are her intuition, and genuine nurturing care for her fellow human beings. It is these characteristics that enable her to create an environment for massage that is comfortable and safe for her clients.
She enjoys listening to what people need. Helen has a unique massage style of blending depth with flow and is able to adjust her techniques to be focused on deep tissue work or soothing relaxing work and
everything in between.

John Allen, CMT
John came to massage therapy from the field of special education and human
services. He loves being a massage therapist and all that bodywork has to offer: rehabilitation, relaxation, rejuvenation and healing.
John has worked in physical therapy and chiropractic settings—his style is primarily rehabilitative in nature. He uses
deep tissue massage, neuromuscular reeducation and orthobionomy to help people recover from and manage conditions like back pain, whiplash, sports related injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia
and chronic pain. In this type of work, John addresses problem areas rather than giving a typical full body massage.
However, he does full body work when it is needed.
He has worked in contemplative settings like spas and sanctuaries that have given his work a quieter flavor. These full body sessions leave people feeling rejuvenated, calm and centered. He also does onsite chair massage at your place of business if it’s hard to get away!
John is a graduate of the Boulder College
of Massage Therapy and of the Body Energy Center in Boulder where he studied Chi Kung Healing and Healing Touch.
He is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and lives in Niwot with his wife Lara, who is a massage therapist and John’s inspiration.
